1.    Steps of changing bus tickets via NCA counters

1.    Ticket owners themselves change their tickets at the NCA counter (unable to change tickets on phones). Documents required are Thai national ID (Same name as stated on the ticket) and bus ticket or a bill from 7-11/ATM.
2.    In the case that the ticket owner is unavailable, the representative must bring a photocopied Thai ID of the ticket owner which has been signed to authorize the representative to change the ticket.
3.    The representative also needs the bus ticket or a bill from 7-11. For customers that purchased tickets online, contact staff at the counter with a Thai ID to receive tickets. Once tickets are collected, they can then be changed.

Details of conditions
1.    When changing tickets, the passenger is able to change: seats, bus schedule, date, destination or type of bus but is unable to change the name of the person travelling.
2.    In the case of changing the type of bus, if the new ticket is more expensive then the passenger has to pay the extra amount. However, if the new ticket is cheaper then NCA reserves the right to not refund any extra amounts paid.
3.    The passenger must change their tickets at least 3 hours before bus departure time as seen on the ticket.
4.    Tickets cannot be changed for more than 365 days and can be changed in one of 2 ways: by specifying travelling date or not specifying travelling date.
5.    If there are 2 or more persons on a bill and only 1 person is changing their ticket, then the bill from 7-11 can be used to exchange for an individual bus ticket and can then be changed.
6.    If the passenger is unable to make it in time for bus departure, the ticket cannot be refunded or used again.

Fee rate

  • Changing a ticket to a farther date for more than 24 hours but less than 30 days is free.
  • Changing a ticket within 3-24 hours of travelling costs 20 baht for tickets under 400 baht and costs 40 baht for tickets over 401 baht.
  • NCA reserves the right to change the fee rate if seen fit without notifying passengers in advance.

Conditions for changing tickets online

  • Tickets can only be changed when it is more than 24 hours before the time of bus departure (If the passenger wishes to change within 3-24 hours of bus departure time, please do so at an NCA counter)
  • The ticket must not have been changed prior
  • Only tickets with no extra fees can be changed e.g. changing travelling date, bus schedule or seat
  • Unable to change seats where extra fees may be charged e.g. changing destination or type of bus (This can only be done at an NCA counter)

 

Steps of cancelling a bus ticket

  • The ticket owner cancels the ticket by themselves at an NCA counter (unable to cancel tickets via phone or online). Documents needed are a Thai ID (same name as shown on ticket) and bus ticket or a bill from 7-11.
  •  In the case that the ticket owner is unavailable, the representative must bring a photocopied Thai ID of the ticket owner which has been signed to authorize the representative to cancel the ticket.
  • The representative must have the documents as mention above as well as their Thai ID and present it to the staff at the counter.

Details of conditions

  • NCA reserves the right to only cancel a ticket for the owner of the ticket themselves.
  • In the case that there is a representative, NCA reserves the right to only cancel when all the documents required are present.
  • In the case that the passenger has lost his/her ticket and wishes to cancel the ticket, the passenger may file a report including the name of the person and the important details in the report. After that, the passenger themselves can contact the staff at an NCA counter with the report prepared as well as a signed copy of their ID.
  • Unable to cancel a ticket within 3 hours of bus departure time as shown on ticket
  • If the ticket is purchased using a credit card, the refund can only be made back into the card (no cash) (takes 30 days to process)

Fee rate

  • If the passenger cancels more than 24 hours but less than 30 days from the bus departure time then NCA charges 20% of the price of the ticket. (If the ticket has been changed then NCA charges 50% of the price of the ticket)
  • If the passenger cancels within 3-24 hours of the bus departure time then NCA charges 50% of the price of the ticket.

Steps to buying children’s tickets

  • Parents/guardians should notify staff at the ticket counter if a child is traveling. Children’s tickets cannot be purchased through the Call Center or through the website with NCA Booking
  • Parents/guardians must have their children’s height measured at counter

The ticket counter Conditions

  • Children shorter than 90 cm travel for free by sitting on their parents’/guardian’s lap.
  • Children between 90 and 130 cm are entitled to a children’s ticket (as per the company rates)

  • Children taller than 130 cm require tickets at the regular fare.

  • If you wish to make a membership for a child, you can use their house registration or, if they are old enough, their national ID card as documentation to apply.
     

Refunding children’s tickets

  • Refunds between 24 hours in advance but no more than 30 days in advance will incur a 20% fee of the original ticket price (the fee is 50% if the ticket has also been rescheduled)

  • Refunds between 3 – 24 hours in advance will incur a 50% fee of the original ticket price.

  • In order to refund a children’s ticket, you must present the house registration or national ID card (one or the other) as well as the original ticket at the ticket counter.

  • The company reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.

Conditions for requesting travel certification

  • You can request travel certification within 30 days of your trip
  • The name on the travel certification will match the name on the ticket (this cannot be changed)
  • Please prepare your name, as well as a valid mailing address for sending the requested travel certification
  • The company reserves the right to not take responsibility for sending the travel certification if you have changed your address

  • You can request a travel certification from the ticket counter at the Nakhonchai Air station by filling out a handwritten letter of intent. Be sure it is legible for ease of processing
  • Write down your name and mailing address clearly as the company will send the travel certification to that address
  • Submit your completed request as well as the 30 baht fee to the staff member at the counter and keep your receipt for record purposes (this rate includes shipping)
  • The company will send the documents within 15 days after the request

Conditions for requesting delivery certification

  • Customers can apply for a delivery certification up to 30 days from the date of delivery by asking for an application form at the counter in any Nakhonchai Air station.
  • Please fill out the details of the delivery clearly in handwriting
    -  Enter the bill number, the name and last name of the person receiving the delivery and the person sending it, the date of the delivery, and the route the delivery took.
  • Customers must write their name and mailing address clearly for the delivery of the requested documents. The company reserves the right to not take responsibility for delivery of the ocuments if you have changed your address since the request.

Steps for requesting a delivery certification

  • The customer can pick up an application form from the counter at ant Nakhonchai Air station. From there, they must fill it out by hand, clearly and legibly so that the documents can processed correctly
  • Please enter your name and mailing address clearly and legibly so that the company can send your documents to the correct place.
  • Submit your completed request as well as a 30 baht fee to the staff member at the counter and keep your receipt as a proof of purchase (this price includes shipping)
  • The company will send the documents within 15 days of receiving the request form from the customer.

Baggage allowance and conditions

  • Nakhonchai Air allows each passenger to load no more than 2 pieces of baggage in the lower compartment with a combined weight of no more than 20 kg.

  • If the weight is over the allowance, the company reserves the right to charge an additional amount based on the excess weight.

  • The fee for the additional weight is the same rate as Nakhonchaiair express package delivery

 

Storing baggage under the vehicle

  • The platform officer will notify passengers to bring their baggage to the bus 15 minutes before departure to get tagged

  • Passengers should separate their baggage into ones that will be loaded under the vehicle and carry-ons (it is recommended to bring smaller bags and valuable items on board to keep with you at all times)

  • Any baggage that is to be stored under the vehicle should be given to the officer on duty who will tag it and store it under the vehicle. Passengers will receive the other piece of the tag which will be attached to their tickets.

  • Please keep that piece of the tag with you as proof of storing your baggage for when you have reached your destination

 

Conditions for carry-on baggage

  • Any items that are illegal, flammable, or explosive are not allowed

  • Pets or other living things are not allowed on board public vehicles (as per the Department of Transportation rules)

  • Fresh food, frozen food, or any type of food that has a strong smell that might bother the other passengers is prohibited from being brought on board.

Ways to become a Nakhonchaiair Member

  1. Sign up at any Nakhonchaiair Service Station. All you will need is a photo ID, which can either be a Thai National ID Card or a Passport.
  2. Sign up on our website. You will need to attach a file of a copy of your photo ID as well as pay a membership fee online. To sign up on our website, Click Here
  3. Membership fee for new members is 59baht
  4. There are no membership numbers, to enjoy the benefits of a Nakhonchaiair member, simply use your Thai National ID Card or Passport number.
  5. After signing-up you will receive a 5% discount for 20 seats. If you have used up all the promotion allowance, you can top up for 59baht per 20 seats discounted. This top up can be done in advance and as many times as you want
  6. The membership lasts 4years, and can be extended. Once extended, all loyalty points will be transferred across.
  7. If the membership has expired for over 6 months, then the loyalty points cannot be transferred over.

Documentation for traveling

  • Nakhonchai Air requires that passengers provide the following documentation for their trip

  • A ticket from the ticket counter or a receipt from 7-11 or an ATM machine (as this receipt can be used as a ticket)

  • If the ticket was purchased online through NCA Booking then a printout of the ticket is acceptable. If a printer is not available, you can also save a picture of the ticket and have the staff member at the Nakhonchai Air ticket counter print it off for you or simply visit a kiosk and print it off there.

  • Nakhonchai Air buses leave on time. Please board 15 minutes before the allotted departure time.

     

What happens if you have forgotten/lost your ticket? (Same name on the ticket as the customer)

  • You can show your national ID card as documentation and get a staff member to help

What happens if you have forgotten/lost your ticket? (Different name on the ticket as the customer)

  • You have to put down a deposit in order to book the same seat and file a form requesting a refund for the deposit. A staff member will contact you once again before the refund is sent to the owner of the ticket.

  • If you know that the ticket has been lost in advance, the owner of the ticket may file a police report indicating that the Nakhonchai Air ticket has been lost. You must provide your name and travel details including departure date and time, route, and ticket cost etc. in the report. From there, you can present a copy of the report to the staff member on duty at the counter to have them print you a new ticket.

Special Discounts

Passengers who are entitled to special discounts (excluding additional fees) which cannot be used in combination with any other discounts

  • Monks, nuns
  • Handicapped, either if they are obviously impaired or if they carry a handicapped card from an association
  • A blind person with a certificate from the blind association
  • A government official, soldier, police officer in full uniform
  • A holder of a government issued badge/medal indicating they are eligible for reduced fare
  • A holder of a Medal of Honor identity card and their family. The various medal of honor cards include:

- Royal congratulations for honor in battle, Europe
- Royal congratulations for honor at the border
- Guarding freedom
- Veteran who exhibited valor outside active duty 
- Family of 1st class veteran
- Also eligible
- Holder of a military family manual of a field official
- Holder of a military family card of a 1st class veteran who exhibited valor outside active duty

Every eligible passenger may only use their special discount allowance at the Nakhonchai Air ticket counter. They must also present proof and provide required information.

Requirements while traveling Nakhonchai Air travel requirements

  • Nakhonchai Air buses leave on time. Please be prepared to board at least 20 minutes before departure

  • Weapons, explosives, flammable items, and illegal items are not allowed on board

  • Pets and live animals are not allowed on board public transportation (as per the rules of the Ministry of Transportation)

  • Drinking alcohol or smoking is not permitted on board. (If a passenger is intoxicated before boarding and is being a nuisance to others, the company reserves the right to refuse to allow them to board)

  • Please set your mobile devices to vibrate to avoid bothering other passengers

  • Please keep your seat belt fastened at all times during the trip (as per the Ministry of Transportation’s act/ a 5,000 baht fine can apply)

Lady Zone, a ladies only zone

We at Nakhonchai Air understand the challenges of being a woman who has to travel alone. This is why we have introduced a ladies only zone where women can have peace of mind when traveling long distances knowing that only women are allowed in that area.

Lady Zone requirements

1. You can book a Lady Zone ticket through any Nakhonchai Air ticket booking channel
2. All rights reserved for women only for the “Lady Zone” (The prefix in the ID card must be Miss. / Mrs.)
3. Every single Gold Class and First Class bus will feature a Lady Zone on every trip
4. The Lady Zone ticket is the same price as the regular ticket
5. If the person who purchased the Lady Zone ticket turns out to be male, the company reserves the right to change their seat in order to meet company specifications (without the customer’s right to dispute).
